LeakProof ™ Anti-Leak Agent

Anti-Leak Agent

Provilla’s patent-pending Anti-Leak Agent achieves five critical goals:
  • Identifies and audits suspicious user actions
  • Using DataDNA™ technology, determines if those actions violate policies
  • Prevents violations from occurring
  • Performs in a non-intrusive, fast, and reliable manner
  • Operates online, offline, and on corporate and public networks

How the Anti-Leak Agent Works

The anti-leak agent runs within the Windows kernel, at the highest security level, to monitor all parts of the system and block unauthorized actions. For most user actions, the agent is in observation mode and does not affect the performance, flexibility, or robustness of the system. When a protected file is open, the agent looks at “write” or other file-output actions — comparing them with the DataDNA™ signatures of protected files. If the agent identifies a file-output action (pasting content, attaching a document to a mail, copying a file, or printing a page) that has protected content, it does the following: audits the action, advises the user, asks for a justification, and (depending on policy) blocks the action.

The agent utilizes four primary methods for detection of sensitive content:
  • DataDNA™ signatures
  • Entity/Regex pattern detection (e.g., Social Security and credit card numbers)
  • Keyword or multiple instances of keywords
  • File meta-data (e.g., file type, size, author)

The anti-leak agent — benchmarked as the fastest in the industry — offers protection at every port for any kind of data, and at every server and end-point PC in your network.

The Anti-Leak Agent's performance is twice as fast as the most popular A/V agents, resulting in half the time required for scanning an outbound file as the others require for scanning an inbound file.
